Justin and Jon, aka The Fabulous Baker Boys, were my helpers in the kitchen today. We made some delicious pumpkin bread! Mrs. Ross's dad had hip replacement surgery yesterday, so we thought it would be nice to bake him some yummy bread to help his recovery! Justin and Jon stepped up to the plate (or mixer, as it were) to complete the task.
Easter Bunny Nests 4/18/14

Our wonderful Occupational Therapist, Mrs. Anderson, came for visit today with a fun fine motor/snack activity. Mrs. Anderson melted some white chocolate candy melts and the kids helped dye it green. They then used green food coloring to tint the coconut as well. After spooning it into the muffin liners, the kids picked out a marshmallow bunny and some jelly beans to finish decorating their nests. Very cute!
Easter Eggs! 4/16/14

We made some beautiful Easter eggs using Kool-Aid for dye! It made the room smell much better than if we would have used vinegar, that's for sure. Also, even though Kool-Aid can (and will!) stain, I didn't think it would be as bad as actual food dye. The red and orange came out so bright and vibrant. The purple (grape) came out black. We mixed one packet of blue raspberry and one packet of lemonade to create the green.
